Why not chicken satay or sate ayam in Indonesian.
Love so much the taste, the texture, the smell and all of that.
This can be the best too, I think ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Dhani Mahardika Prihanggodo

    1. Kevin Satria Bhagaskara

  1. Musthafa Mahmud Adam Alfarizi Flora

I really like both of these foods. Especially Nasi Goreng. Because when I don’t have food at home, i will buy Nasi Goreng. For rendang, I always order it when I eat padang food

    1. Nadia Ayu Laksmidewi

You are just like my brother he also really like Nasi Goreng, even almost every time he is asked what he wants to eat, the answer is always Nasi Goreng. I was confused why he never got bored of eating Nasi Goreng. I mean I also like to eat it but it’s not as same as him.

  2. Ifadatur Rohmah

honestly, I was so shocked about “Nasi goreng” become the 2nd delicious food in the world wkwkwk. because nasi goreng is simple food. but I agree because although nasi goreng is a simple food it very delicious moreover if buy in abang2 gerobak wkwkwk

    1. Nadia Ayu Laksmidewi

wkwk I’m also surprised that ” Nasi Goreng ” become the 2nd delicious food in the world and I just heard about it. I prefer to make my own Nasi Goreng instead buying it outside because in my opinion it is healthier and can also make it according to my taste.

    1. Nadia Ayu Laksmidewi

Yes I also agree with that, Rendang has a very unique and delicious taste that can make everyone addicted after eating it. Btw after talking about it, I really want to eat Rendang right now :v.

  3. Wifda Muna Fatihia

When read this article, I remember Mr. Barack Obama once ever said “Bakso, nasi goreng, semuanya enak” while have a speech at Universitas Indonesia a few years ago. Yes, rendang, nasi goreng, and many more Indonesian cuisines are delicious!

    1. Nadia Ayu Laksmidewi

That’s absolutely true because Indonesian cuisine has a characteristic taste that is produced from a mixture of various kinds of spices which makes it very delicious when eaten.

  4. Rohmad Rifai D4TEKKOMB

I ever eat rendang, but it has been a long time and I rarely taste it. And for fried rice, is it true that the food comes from our country?

      1. Nadia Ayu Laksmidewi

wkwkwk I have also eaten it, Dimas. I think even though the taste is not exactly the same as the original rendang, at least the taste is still quite similar and also very delicious.

  5. Sholichuddin Al Ayyubi Putra Ary

To be honest, i don’t love rendang. I am not hate it, but the taste sometimes too rich, too strong. And the texture of rendang is felt so crumbly. Still rendang is a tasty food. But i so impressed for the one who invent it at other people who make it. To make, is need a lot of time, and pretty much of ingredient.

Right now a lot food invention, the one of invention type that impress me molecular gastronomy. molecular gastronomy is a interesting science, changing food shape, texture, physical change, and more. If i not wrong, there are some molecular gastronomy food around rendang, making rendang to different thing with the rich taste of rendang.

    1. Ignatius Aditya Timantha Ginting

I like rendang, especially the spicy one, you can eat it with warm rice and after that you can drink coconut water with brown sugar. If still hungry, you can make another round with sate padang and gulai kepala kakap without rice and drink coconut water without sugar. You can also eat keripik singkong balado during your snack time or netflix time. That’s a little piece of heaven bro!

  6. Fahriza Mutiara F

Yes, rendang and the rest of the Padang dishes are unbeatable for me. Second after rendang is Gulai Otak. The recipes used and the spices our country has are just amazing.

    1. Almira Innasty Wibowo D4TEKKOMA

Oh, I like Gulai Otak too. The flavour is different from other dishes and so tasty. It’s been a while since I ate Padang dishes, I am a little bit craving for some now :9

      1. Fahriza Mutiara Fajariyanti D4TEKKOMA

That’s right and every time I want to buy Gulai Otak at the Padang restaurant near my house, it runs out. Sooo sad. It turns out that many people also like it.

        1. Nadia Ayu Laksmidewi

Even in my family, I am the only person who don’t like sate. Since childhood I can’t eat sate even if it’s just a little, everytime I eat sate I will definitely spit it out.

      1. Kevin Satria Bhagaskara

        Hahaha
It is simple way when you want to eat rendang.
But you are not have enough money to buy it, you can buy indomie rendang taste to replace it.

  7. Mohammad Ali RojaI

Apart from Rendang and Nasi Goreng, Indonesian food that is also recognized by the world is Sate, Roti Gambang, Lapis Legit and even indomie.

    1. Kevin Satria Bhagaskara

      Wow the other sate lover.
I totally agree with you bro, sate is better than rendang.
The smell, the taste, the texture always the best!
      #teamsate

  8. Dinda Ayu Yunitasari

I think Indonesian food is simple food because many recipes from ancient parents cause this food to be unique and make foreigners also like the food of our country.

  9. Luri Shafira Amalia

Actually nasi goreng and rendang have been my favorite foods since a long time ago before knowing that they are in the top position of the most delicious food in the world

  10. The Rendang is very delicious. But I only like rendang if it uses chicken instead of beef. Do you know ? Rendang with chicken meat is more delicious, because I like chicken over beef. Ahahaha

    1. Kevin Satria Bhagaskara

      Hahaha me too.
I more like chicken than beef because of the texture.
Chicken texture is better than beef and that’s why chicken is btter for me

  11. Novaren Veraldo

Nasi goreng is great! You can mix and match your left over and make things work! But I think the traditional Nasi Goreng use paste from grinding herbs with pestle and mortar

  12. Febriana Ayu Kanti N.

i know this article was talking about Rendang the minute i saw the title.
Rendang by Nasi Padang is my ultimate favorite food ever, i could eat this everyday

    1. Silfiana Nur Hamida

yeah this article give information that rendang can become number 1 at the most delicious, i agree with article because in fact rendang famous until abroad…

      1. Mohammad Ali RojaI

i think eating Rendang every day doesn’t always make someone fat but eating Rendang to often is not either, not only because the price is relatively expensive but you can get high cholesterol.

  13. Almira Innasty Wibowo D4TEKKOMA

From what I read actually other countries has their own version of Fried Rice, like Japan and also South Korean. But, I think I kind of understand why Indonesia’s Fried Rice is still outstanding, because we use so many spices and it seasoning well so obviously the taste is rich and strong :D.

    1. Nurrudin Azzaky

Yeah. I know some recipes for Japanese or Korean fried rice, but they don’t use much ingredients. For Japanese fried rice, they use ketchup, salt, pepper and egg. For Korean, they use red pepper paste and kimchi. But Indonesian fried rice has complex ingredients, that’s why it’s really delicious.

      1. Mohammad Ali RojaI

the price is also different wkwkwkw . Fried rice in Indonesia has a cheap price of Rp. 10.000-20.000, in Japan it is sold for around Rp. 50.000.

  14. Aris Styo Alfandi

You know lodo seasoned chicken. Yep, it;s my favorite food. The food is typical of Tulungagung and tastes good. Usually this food is served during Eid.

  15. Fried rice and Rendang are among my favorite Indonesian dishes. In almost every street corner and in all areas, you can find fried rice sellers. Fried rice is a food menu for a million people. The price is fairly cheap and with a variety of distinctive flavors from each region. When talking about Rendang, hmm, who doesn’t like that dish. Especially when used as a side dish for nasi padang. The taste is getting better. But the best rendang is made by my mother :). Rendang and fried rice are the flavors of Indonesian cuisine.

  16. Indonesian foods are so diverse. I love rendang, especially when I ordered it in Warung Makan Padang. But somehow, there’s some rendang which have really strong taste and I’m not into.

    1. I am also love Nasi Goreng. Did you guys have watched Uncle Roger reacting white people? That’s hilarious.

Apart from that, i love nasi goreng just because it has richness flavour.

  17. Mahdanu Oktarinda Fajaria

When we talk about the most famous Indonesian Food, it is always Rendang and Nasi Goreng :(, even though Indonesia has many delicious foods besides that. It seems like our culinary wealth is still not widely known hiks

  18. Rendang is even a favorite food menuat a hotel in Jerman in the context of a culinary festival of authentic Indonesian cuisine. This event was held to commemorate 60 years of friendship between Indonesia and Germany. This rendang has been named as one of Indonesia’s most famous dishes worldwide.

    1. Aris Styo Alfandi

It sounds good. I also really like rendang. I like chicken rendang. I am more comfortable and like it when my mother and village family make rendang.

  19. this spicy cuisine is loved by all people, and can be found in all padang restaurant in Indonesia, even to foreign countries. this dish is sometimes better know as rendang padang, even thought rendang is a typical minang dish in general. after reading this article, i remembered mama’s cooking at home.

    1. Hello, fahmi. Yes, I totally agree with you. If it’s not spicy it means it’s not Indonesian. Many Indonesian foods are delicious, especially eaten with spicy seasionings. Hmm that would be really delicious hehe…
But for padang food, I rarely eat.

  20. Dian Nurmayasari

Certified! rendang is one of the most delicious food in the world. But sadly, i can’t cook it. I wish that someday i can cook some heavy food like rendang, opor or something like that because it just interest to try on hehe. And Too Much Information, Rather than rendang, Nasi Goreng or Fried Rice or they call it as ๋ณถ์Œ๋ฐฅ(bokkeumbap) it becomes famous in south korea. I don’t know why but korea citizens love the taste of nasi goreng. Maybe the taste is “less” seasoning than rendang and also the spiciness level of rendang is more higher than nasi goreng.

    1. Hello, maya. Yes, you are right. Some of us certainly familiar with this one food, namely fried rice. More that that, Fried Rice has succeeded in becoming an Indonesian icon.

      1. As far as I know, the name fried rice food is increasingly widespread in foreign countries, after the Prisedent of the United States Barack Obama metioned the name fried rice food as as a typical Indonesian food that is famous in the world and several times he acknowledge the deliciousness of this one food.

        1. Dian Nurmayasari

Yeah, i agree with you nia. As i stated before, Fried rice has a less spicier taste than rendang. Because the foreigners especially you mentioned US or Western people had fewer level of spicy tolerant than us. So maybe that’s why they prefer nasi goreng than rendang.

          1. Ignatius Aditya Timantha Ginting

Not just the taste, I think foreigners like nasi goreng because the simplicity. As long as you have rice, onion, and salt, you can make simple fried rice less than 8 minutes. For your information, the better one nasi goreng can make with yesterday rice or “nasi sisa kemarin” and the low quality of rice ๐Ÿ˜€ not the “pulen” one.

            1. Dian Nurmayasari

Hahaha. I agree with you.. Even you just put rice and butter it also called nasi goreng. And yeah most indonesian people including me would also make nasi goreng with “yesterday rice” or “Nasi sisa kemarin” kekeke

    2. Aris Styo Alfandi

I agree with you. Indonesian rendang has been known by many people, even tourists from Macau are curious about rendang cuisine. I really like this.

    3. Aris Styo Alfandi

Hi Maya, it doesn’t matter if you can’t cook, because now there are many shops that sell rendang and seasonings for other fast food dishes. So that it is easier for you to cook the menu that you like.

      1. Dian Nurmayasari

yeah you’re right aris. But as an indonesian citizen with many traditional foods that we have it’s a shame (in my opinion) that i can’t cook some traditional dishes. I mean it’d be great if i can cook and share to foreigners someday about the diversities of our food.

  21. yes, rendang until now stil become my primadona because it has a nice taste in my tongue and i am happy that rendang become the delicious food in the world. it can brand Indononesia for tourist destination.

    1. Hello, bid. I agree with you. Rendang is the most delicious foo, it can not be denied that many people like it. Rendang is usually served in a event like wedding ceremory, circumcision, and so on.

    2. Aris Styo Alfandi

Hello bid, yes I think you are right. Until now, rendang is still in great demand by many people. Especially during holidays and that’s where the big family gathers.

  22. Hello, thank you for your information. This article is very useful to increase our knowledge about Indonesia’s food. It’s right, Indonesia have a lot of delicious food from various region.

    1. Therefore, many foreign tourists love Indonsia food because Indonesia food is rich in spices. Even Indonesia food is sold abroad at quite expensive prices.

      1. Apart from rendang, there are many more Indonesia specialties that are well known to foreign countries. Among others, gado-gado, chicken soup, chicken satay, tempe, and others.
